fairy ring seeker ~ hand embroidered sign

Fairy Ring Seeker hand embroidered sign with hand drawn borderThis “fairy ring seeker” sign is hand embroidered on a white linen-cotton fabric.  We printed the linen with our hand-drawn flower border for an added mix of textures.   The 7-inch hoop is made of unfinished wood with smooth, rounded edges.

We hand sew wool felt on the back of all our hoops, and include ribbon and a small nail for optimum hanging options!

Each of our products is gift wrapped in colored tissue and ribbons, ready for presenting to someone ~ or opening by you!

fairy sign embroidered

hand embroidered fairy signs

Fairy Flying Zone signWhen a picture doesn’t quite convey what’s in your heart, perhaps a few words will simply get right to the point.

Embroidered lettering and sayings can be a picture of loveliness in their own right, before the meaning of the words are even absorbed.  With textures of thread catching the light, curves of stitches flowing and looping together, the very old art of embroidered lettering has me hooked.  I know there’s a pun in there somewhere, although for now here at Fiona we are using needle rather than hook.

Our new line of fairy signs is here, each hand embroidered with a gentle reminder to all who come across it that the fairies are nearby.

What better way to show your love and support of the Fair Folk than hanging a homespun sign in your kitchen, child’s room, even from the branch of a tree by your garden.  Wherever you choose to display our signs, we know the fairies will appreciate your honoring them.

drawings printed on linen

drawings printed on linen hoop artLinen and embroidery hoops go together like peas and carrots.  So when we decided to print our colored pencil drawings on linen, and we love all things round and oval, it was a natural fit!

Lots of variations are in progress, there’s no telling what will appear inside these wooden circles when all is said and done.

Keep checking in, as there’s more in the works all the time.  Thanks for visiting!
